About
I am a multimedia artist dedicated to exploring the dynamic interplay between performance art, digital media, and sculpture. My work investigates themes of resilience and renewal, reflecting the intricate relationship between internal and external identities.
By reworking materials and revitalizing discarded elements through creative processes, I create pieces that convey their own narratives. Through the fusion of traditional physical art forms and cutting-edge digital technologies, I design immersive experiences that invite viewers to engage with art on multiple levels.
Recently, I completed my Master of Fine Arts with a focus on sculpture and digital media at the University of Saskatchewan, where I also earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts over the past five years. My education has provided a solid foundation in various artistic practices. My experiences have enriched my understanding of the artistic process and highlighted the significance of cultivating meaningful connections within the community.
At the core of my artistic practice is a deep commitment to transformation—both in material and meaning. I employ a diverse range of media, from metals and repurposed objects to innovative digital technologies, to create works that evoke resilience and renewal. My creative process often involves deconstructing existing objects and reimagining them into new forms, symbolizing both personal and societal journeys of growth.
I am particularly passionate about exploring the potential of 3D creation and sculpture, using techniques that bridge traditional craftsmanship with modern digital practices. By integrating 3D modeling and digital fabrication into my artistic repertoire, I can expand the possibilities of sculptural forms, allowing for more intricate and dynamic expressions. This approach not only enhances my ability to reinterpret materials but also enables me to create immersive installations that engage the viewer on multiple sensory levels. Through this synthesis of traditional and contemporary methods, I strive to push the boundaries of artistic practice and foster a deeper appreciation for the transformative power of art.
